Buying guides that tell you the catch

Most “best of” lists read like every product is perfect. Ours do not. Each pick says who it suits, who it does not, and what you give up. Prices come straight from Amazon, so what you see is what it costs today.

We name the drawback

Every pick lists real limitations. If we cannot find one, we say who the product is a poor fit for instead.

We do not fake testing

These guides are desk research from specifications, listings and buyer feedback. We never claim to have tested things we have not.

Prices are live

Every price is pulled from Amazon when the page loads. Nothing here is a stale number from months ago.

How this site works

Every guide starts with what is actually for sale on Amazon right now. We read the manufacturer specification, the listing detail and the themes that come up again and again in buyer feedback. From that we build a shortlist and order it by fit, not by price and not by what earns us most.

A list where every product is wonderful tells you nothing. So each pick carries a plain “best for” and “not ideal for”, and the drawbacks are stated in the same breath as the strengths. If a product has no honest weakness we can find, we tell you which buyer should skip it instead.

Do you test the products?

No, and we will never pretend otherwise. These guides are desk research. There are no invented lab numbers on this site and no scores we made up. Where we name a limitation, it came from the specification or from a pattern in what buyers report.

How do you make money?

When you buy through a link here, Amazon pays us a commission. You pay exactly the same price. Commission rates differ between categories and we are aware that creates a pull toward recommending whatever pays most, so we do not rank by commission. The full detail is on the affiliate disclosure page.

Are the prices current?

Prices are pulled from Amazon and refresh on a schedule, and every product block carries the date it was checked. They still change often. The price shown on Amazon at the moment you check out is the one that counts.

Something here is wrong. Now what?

Tell us and we will fix it. Specifications change and products get discontinued, so this happens. Write to hello@techsmagazine.com with the article and what is wrong. Corrections get made and the update date on the article changes to match.
